“When you are drinking with Russian, he’ll definitely say that Russia is sucks, but be aware to agree with him! More likely he’ll kick your ass!” :)

Too true. I develiped a taste for vodka when I was in Russia, and good vodka is soooo hard to find in the UK.

Russian drinking traditions are very much a cultural thing, and the person who drinks and does not become drunk is always respected. They say “he can drink!”. The more you drink and don’t fall down drunk, the more your friends will respect you. Many business deals are solved while drinking together.

I’m glad I’m not doing business in Russia, I’m such a light-weight when it comes to drinking, I’m sure no one would do business with me.

Speaking of that however, I did have the very best ‘zakuska’ the last time I was in Russia. If it was macho to eat the most zakuska – I’d win that. :)

Hello Lelik, may I know the reason why you said so? My instructors at college were from Indian Air-force. They have officially visited Russia many times and said us that Russia is a very good place and drinks in Russia are superb :) I really like to visit Russia once :)

That’s too funny.
I rarely drink but when I do I can hold it. Must be in my Russian and Celtic genetic mixture. LOL
